Dr. Pomeranz has worked with people with disabilities in multiple capacities for over fifteen years. His career background includes working with people with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and developmental disabilities. Dr. Pomeranz has provided vocational rehabilitation consulting since 2000 and his primary interest is in the areas of life care planning and forensic rehabilitation.
In addition to receiving extensive educational training, Dr. Pomeranz has conducted research in the area of life care planning and has presented his findings at national conferences throughout the United States. Dr. Pomeranz has received federal funding to develop an instrument that can be used by life care planners to estimate personal attendant care. He has published his research findings in the Journal of Life Care Planning and Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin. Currently, Dr. Pomeranz is on faculty at the University of Florida and teaches and conducts research in the Department of Behavioral Science and Community Health. Dr. Pomeranz has taught courses in psychosocial aspects of disability and vocational assessment within the rehabilitation counseling graduate program.
Christina M. Wemmer,

Christina Wemmer has been an attorney for the past two years. Ms. Wemmer received her juris doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University. Prior to entering law school, she received her bachelor’s of science degree in food and resource economics at the University of Florida. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and has successfully passed the Florida Bar Exam.
Ms. Wemmer has always had a strong passion to work with people with disabilities and recently became extremely interested in the field of rehabilitation consultation. Christina has gained practical experience in vocational consultation. She has provided assistance with the development of long-term rehabilitation plans and the analyses of earning capacity and wage loss. Having worked in litigation and being a licensed attorney, Chrissy is well versed in law and uses that knowledge to provide forensic consultation services and legal strategy in the rehabilitation arena.
Horace Sawyer, Ed.D, CRC,

Dr. Horace Sawyer has been involved in the rehabilitation consultation field for over 35 years. At the beginning of his career, he was one of the pioneers of this field; now, Dr. Sawyer is considerend one of the premier consultants in the nation. He has devoted his entire career to the advancement of the rehabilitation profession and quality education in many areas, including Life Care Planning.
After earning his doctorate in counseling with an emphasis in rehabilitation in 1972, Dr. Sawyer went on to work in many different aspects of the industry, including work as a rehabilitation agency counselor, rehabilitation consultant to statewide comprehensive rehabilitation centers, and rehabilitation center director. In addition, he has been on the faculties of many prestigious educational institutions, including the University of Tennessee, Southern Illinois University, and most recently the University of Florida. For the past 23 years, Dr. Sawyer has served as chair for the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Florida, and in 1995, he was responsible for initiating a national training program in this field at the University. In 2004, Dr. Sawyer was honored with the life care planning lifetime achievement award at the International Conference on Life Care Planning.
In addition to Dr. Sawyer’s career in academia, training, and consulting he co-authored A Guide to Rehabilitation which has been the foundation for the development and growth of life care planning and rehabilitation consultation. Dr. Sawyer has been an independent rehabilitation consultant for 20 years and he is now in partnership with Absolute Care Planner to provide rehabilitation consultation and mentorship. This partnership has allowed us to provide our clients with paramount expert consultation services.
