The professionals at Absolute Care Planning
have received comprehensive training which has allowed them to gain extensive
experience working in a wide range of consultation arenas including:
Personal Injury Litigation
Personal injury results from negligence on the part of a person or entity
is careless with the safety of other people. A majority of personal injury
cases arise out of motor vehicle accidents in which a driver is charged
with being negligent. As a result, an injured person must demonstrate
resulting damages associated with the accident. Frequently, our consultants
have been retained to reviewing medical records, evaluating any post-injury
physical and cognitive impairment, evaluating loss of earning capacity
and wage-loss as the result of the impairment, and providing comprehensive
life care plans that outline current and future needs with associated
costs of individuals with disabilities.
Medical Malpractice
Medical malpractice occurs where a medical practitioner acts in a negligent
manner when treating a medical condition. Malpractice can occur from an
action taken by the medical practitioner, or by the failure to take a
medically appropriate action. Our experts
are experienced in reviewing medical records, evaluating any post-injury
physical and cognitive impairment, evaluating loss of earning capacity
and wage-loss as the result of the impairment, and providing comprehensive
life care plans that outline current and future needs with associated
costs of individuals with disabilities.
Marital Dissolution
A vocational evaluation can be critical in facilitating the determination
of financial responsibilities among spouses involved in a divorce. Specifically,
the evaluation often includes an assessment of a supported spouse’s
ability to earn money and contribute toward his/her own living expenses.
If the supported spouse has a limited work history, it may be difficult
to estimate a realistic expectation of earnings. Our
experts can provide respective parties with an expert opinion about
the supported spouse’s possible employment, need for education or
training, the labor market, and earning capacity.
Social Security
The Social Security Administration defined disability as as the inability
to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically
determinable physical or mental impairment(s) which can be expected to
result in death or which has lasted or can be expected to last for a continuous
period of not less than 12 months. Our experts
have the skills and knowledge to assist clients in understanding disability
determination, provide assistance with applying for social security benefits,
and evaluating a client’s ability to engage in substantial gainful
activity in the context of their disability.
Workers Compensation
Worker's Compensation is the name given to a system of laws meant to protect
injured workers. The laws protect the injured worker by mandating that
the worker receive appropriate medical care, lost wages relating to the
on-the-job injury, and, if necessary, retraining and rehabilitation, so
as to be able to return to the workforce. The
rehabilitation consultants at Absolute Care Planning are well versed
in the laws protecting injured workers. As such, our consultants provide
comprehensive evaluations of the injured worker. Specifically, we conduct
a through review of the medical records of the injured worker, provide
vocational testing (if necessary), identify assets and liabilities, and
make recommendations regarding the ability of an individual to return
to work following and injury. |
